Your data and account

Export, correct, or delete your data

How to ask for a copy of an animal's data, fix a fact that's wrong, or have data deleted, and what happens after you ask.

Checked against the app on

Requests are made one animal at a time, and our team completes each one.

Where to find it

Open the animal, go to History, then Privacy & data rights. The same panel appears on Share when you pick the animal there.

Ask for a copy of an animal’s data

Select Request my data. When our team has completed the request, you get a notice in the app and by email.

Fix a fact that’s wrong

Select Request a correction, then say what’s wrong and what it should be instead. You can follow its progress under Your correction history.

Some details, such as sex and date of birth, can only be changed this way once they’re set. If you try to edit one in Edit profile, you’ll see Fix this, which starts a correction request.

Ask for deletion

Select Request deletion. First you’ll see what stays and what changes. Confirm to send the request, and our team reviews it. Some records must be kept for legal, security, or integrity reasons; the privacy policy explains which.

Remove an animal from your list

Remove animal takes an animal off your list straight away. Its records are kept for audit, not destroyed. To have data deleted, use Request deletion instead.
