Every dog's papers in one place, ready for the next litter or buyer.
Keep each dog's registration, health clearances, and DNA results together, each as it was issued. Then check pairings for carrier risk and inbreeding before you breed.
Free for up to 5 dogs. Breeding checks come with Client Pro.
A dog's record
What you can keep
- Registration and litter papers
- Vaccination and deworming
- Health clearances
- DNA results
- Pedigree
Records
Keep what a buyer, a vet, or a kennel club will ask for.
Upload each document to the dog's record. It stays there as it was issued, ready to open whenever someone asks.
Registration and litter papers
The dog's registration, and the litter paperwork each buyer needs.
Vaccination and deworming
Dates and products, so the next vet knows what comes next.
Health clearances
Hip and elbow evaluations, eye exams, and cardiac checks, as the reports themselves.
DNA results
Disease panels and other tests, with the lab report kept whole.
Pedigree
The dog's parents and ancestors.
Contracts
Sale contracts and health guarantees.
Selling a puppy
Send every puppy home with complete papers.
The new owner's vet, a registry, and any future buyer will all ask for them, and they're easier to hand over complete on day one. State rules differ, so check yours.
What a puppy usually goes home with in the US
- The date of birth. About 27 states and Washington, D.C. set a minimum age for selling a puppy, most often eight weeks.
- Vaccination and deworming records, with dates and products.
- A vet's exam, and the vet's notes.
- The registration application for the new owner, signed over.
Before a breeding
Check a pairing before you breed.
Each check shows what it was based on, so you can judge how far to trust it. A condition that hasn't been tested on both sides can't be checked. Using results from reports you upload yourself is planned.
Carrier risk
See the chance of affected, carrier, and clear puppies for each condition both dogs have lab carrier results for.
Inbreeding (COI)
Get the inbreeding coefficient for a pairing from the pedigrees on record, with the shared ancestors behind it.
Rank mates
Rank candidates for a dam or sire with the reasons shown. Leave out at-risk pairings and set a limit on inbreeding.
Reading results
"Clear" only covers what was tested.
Progressive retinal atrophy has several forms. A dog that tests clear for prcd-PRA won't develop that form, but the result says nothing about the others. Check the exact test on each report, not just the condition's name.
Our guide explains how to read the letters on a DNA report, what one copy means, and what two carriers mean for a litter.
