Edit an animal's details
Change an animal's name or breed, fill in a missing sex or date of birth, and ask for a correction when a detail you can't edit is wrong.
- Open the animal from Animals.
- Find the Profile details card, below the reports and health cards, and select Edit profile.
- Change what you need:
- Display name, which is required, and Breed display.
- Sex, if missing or owner-supplied and Date of birth, if missing.
- Available for breeding discovery, State, province, or region, and Country code, which is two letters, such as US.
- Select Save safe profile fields. The app shows Profile updated.
To go through several animals in one place, open your account menu and choose Profile. The same form is there for each of your animals.
Breeding rankings can use the last three fields as filters, for example to list only animals marked Available in a given country. See rank mates and pairings.
When a detail is locked
Once an animal’s sex or date of birth is set, you can’t change it here. If you try, the app says it needs a reviewed correction. Write what it should be and why, then select Fix this. A reviewer follows up.
Ownership, registration numbers, samples, results, reports, and genetic facts can’t be edited in the app at all. To have one of those fixed, ask for a correction.
